Al Hansen First at Spring Thaw
May 24, 2009 on 1:14 pm | In Mountain Biking | 2 CommentsAl Hansen decimated the opposition in the OBRA-sponsored Spring Thaw DHÂ at Ashland, Oregon, on May 17th.
Competing in the CAT 1 (25-29) classification, Hansen blazed to a 4:27.46, a full thirteen seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. Hansen is sponsored by Project 529 and Fort George Brewery.
Brant Ness was fourth in the CAT 1 (30-39) in 4:39.39.
World-class racer Mark Weir – sponsored by WTB, Santa Cruz, and Fox – won the Pro Division, hitting 46 miles per hour at one spot on the course.
