The Castle Rock Bike Park picked up three recent donations totaling $1,037.25.
One came from an anonymous GGR member who contributed $100 for the second time this year.
We also raised $387.25 at the TDG party at Porky’s last Saturday. This included $237.25 in cash and a check for $150 from Paul and Mel that was payment for the home gym donated by Mike Van Hoose.
In addition, we received a commitment for a $500 gold sponsorship from Cole Mills of Waddell & Reed in Portland.
Cole is the financial advisor for Cathy and Brian Mahon, Mel and Paul Norris, and Sher and myself. Not only is Cole an excellent financial planner, he understands mountain bikers.
He helped Cathy and Brian and Mel and Paul make things work when they wanted to purchase homes in Redmond and Bend to have access to superior recreational opportunities.
When you decide you need to pull the trigger on a new bike, he doesn’t throw a guilt-trip on you because he knows bikes are who we are.
If you don’t have a solid financial plan, Cole can hook you up. If you are tired of dealing with a faceless institution or an individual who doesn’t seem to have your concerns on the front burner, he will make sure you are taken care of.
And if none of that is enough to sway you, Cole also puts on an annual beer tour for his mountain biking clients and select friends. This is not to be missed. I know I’ve already done enough to convince Kowalski. If anyone else is interested, let me know.
Big thanks to all of the contributors. We appreciate your generosity.
