Coldwater Work Party – Update
August 20, 2012 on 1:50 pm | In Mountain Biking | 3 CommentsGeneral Info
- Crew chiefs need to be at Coldwater by 8 a.m. to go through details with Paul.
- Mel will meet all other crew members at Exit 49 in CR at 8 and they will arrive around 9. If you prefer to drive directly to Coldwater Lake, go for it. Do your best to be there by 9 or a little before.
- Crews leave in reverse order, with Crew 6 heading out first and then working back to Crew 1.
- Digging implements and rakes will be transported to Crews 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 by boat. All volunteers should carry loppers, nippers, handsaws in their packs.
- Bring a lunch and fluid.
- One recon report noted that there were quite a few flies at Coldwater. Bug spray is recommended.
- All crew chiefs will be connected via radio.
- When your crew finishes its section, contact the next crew chief up the line and determine where support is needed. We will try to keep Crews 1 and 2 within three miles of the parking lot, i.e. if they finish early they can go out and help Crew 3 but that will probably be the extent of it. Crews 3, 4, 5, and 6 are all-in and will move wherever they are needed.
- Crew members will be notified in advance of their assignments, but a volunteer will also be stationed in the parking lot with a clipboard to direct them.

What a crew!! I can’t wait to make some headway on this trail. What a cool addition to the north side of MSH. Rode it last weekend and it has lots of potential.
See you there.

I think Sean Nash will no-show but I’ve got a replacement, Bugs Duncan.
