TDG XII Draws Record Crowd
June 29, 2009 on 4:00 am | In Mountain Biking, Photos and Videos | 2 CommentsNearly 60 riders joined the party at the 12th Annual Tour de Gulch on June 20th. Billed as The Best Ride West of Castle Rock on the Third Saturday in June, TDG XII was another opportunity to celebrate good trail and great friends.
Thanks again to our sponsors – Boone Dog Bikes, Fort George Brewery, and the Bike Garage – for providing great beer and a ton of raffle prizes. Thanks also to Lloyd Smith, Aaron Carter, Randy Toney, Ksenia Mueller, and Melanie Norris for photos and vid clips.
Notes: Early in the ride, the famed Killer Burritos moved to offer ride leader Dave LeMonds an honorary membership. This offer was tabled after LeMonds forced the KBs to climb Creation. . . The new trails – Mr. Rogers and Donkey Punch – drew plenty of comments from this year’s ride crew. . . J. LeMonds and Jeff Lipton rode in their twelfth TDG . . . Ryan McMaster continued his tradition of destroying bike parts at an alarming rate by tatering his wheel on Donkey Punch. . . Rob Larsen took things one step farther by tatering himself on Donkey Punch. Several witnesses suggested that excessive speed was involved . . . Did anyone see the Trail Gnome on Carnage, courtesy of Randy Toney? . . . Aaron Carter, Dennis Veatch, Bongo, Tonya Breedlove, Brian Mahon, Cage Aaron, Greg Dimick, Jim Swanson, Seattle Fred, Adam Bryan, Marcus Faber, and Cody Krippner rode in their first TDG.

Great job putting all the clips and stills together! I watched it several times…figured out I must of been the guy getting serious air on the DH trail, yeah right.
Thanks to all the photographers…seeing all the cool shots is a great incentive for even more cameras next year.
