Mega-Build Draws Huge Crowd

Thanks to the 120 people who came out to build trail at Growlers on March 4th. After two cancellations, the weather cooperated and everyone was eager to dig.

A list of those who attended can be viewed here.

We completed the entire scope of work, which included replacing the Road Trails, the Big Wow, and the Creek Trail, and also added new line near the entrance to Without a Paddle.

Special thanks to our crew chiefs – Bob Horness, Braden Nicholsen, Dave LeMonds, Ben McCormack, Barry DeSemple, Vaughn Martin, Eric Shew, Michael Inbody, Kevin Templeton, Randy Toney, and Preston Antisdel. A big shout-out also to Bob for organizing the raffle.

None of this happens without the incredible effort of all those dirt animals who are willing to step up to make Growlers a special place. I had a number of crew chiefs thank me for putting so many hard-working people on their crews. My hat is off to all of you.

I know I am leaving some out, but big thanks to our sponsors: Porky’s, Canyonview Cyclery, Cyclepath PDX, Leatherman, Northwest Trail Alliance, the Bike Gallery, Chris King, Yakima Racks, and Western Bike Works.
