Growlers Gulch TT Set for Sunday
September 13, 2009 on 3:01 pm | In Mountain Biking | 3 CommentsThe Growlers Gulch Time Trial is a go for Sunday at 10 a.m. The course has been cleared and is in great condition. This is the fourth wheel in the coveted Fist of Five on the 2009 Growlers Gulch ride circuit.
There is still time to sign up. Just let me know if you will be attending.
We will be riding Cousin Eddie. You can either park at the gate at about 9:45 and ride in or drive in on the Melton side. If you’re a spectator, think about bringing a lawn chair. Please do not pop alcoholic beverages at the ride site.
Riders will have the option of doing TWO runs. Seeding will be based on last year’s finishing times (See seedings at the bottom of the page). We expect the entire event to take about 3-4 hours. The Post-Ride Pub at 465 will be open after this event.
With three of the top five placers from 2008 out of action (Eric Loney – injury; Bob Stanton – work; Thomas Mueller – pregnancy) the door is wide open.
After a lengthy discussion, the Growlers Gulch Board of Directors and members of Growlers Gulch Racing have come up with the following predictions for this year’s race:
- Al Hansen
- Cage Aaron
- Ryan McMaster
- Mike Van Hoose
- Darrell Jamieson
