Rider of the Year
The Board of Directors of Growlers Gulch Racing has named Al Hansen the GG Rider of the Year for 2009.

Hansen placed 4th at the Climbing Championships, 2nd at the 5K, and took top honors at the TT with a dominating performance.

Hansen, who won the Fluidride Cup DH championship this year in the Cat I 19-29 division, has also been instrumental in securing sponsorship of Growlers Gulch events by Fort George Brewery of Astoria.

Fist of Five
Mike Van Hoose, Paul Norris, J. LeMonds, D. LeMonds, Ryan McMaster, and Jeff Muldoon earned 2009 Fist of Five honors.

They were the only riders to attend all five events on the Growlers Gulch ride circuit – the 5K, Ride ‘em All, Tour de Gulch, Time Trial, and Climbing Championship. This is the second consecutive year that Norris, Van Hoose and J. LeMonds have earned all available wheels.

They received GG Racing hats and special post-ride cups created by Pacific Northwest artist and stud biking woman Dara Hartman Muldoon.

Four-Wheelers
Special recognition to those who attended four events in 2009 – Melanie Norris, Dara Muldoon, Cage Aaron, Bob Juntunen, Erik Carlson, Aaron Althaeuser, Randy Toney, Al Hansen, Thomas Mueller, Denise Livingston, and Andy Crump.
