My uncle Floyd accomplished so much in his life, and I speak for everyone in our family when I say we love this man. Most will focus on the strength of his teaching and coaching, but I will always cherish the way he loved people. With kindness and sincerity he touched lives. Uncle Floyd loved to laugh and did so with great delight. Who could possibly forget the stories he would tell in the company of Lindy, Randy, or Aunt Sue; and leave us all in stitches. Together, Rand and his Dad were much better than Abbott & Costello. With love Donny

My grandpa was simply put, “A LEGEND”. He taught me everything i know today about life. There are so many lessons about life that he taught me. Spending time with him was always a joy. Whether it was on the basketball court, on the links, or fishing on the river, just being in his presence was something special. I could write a book about my gramps but he knows how special he was to me. Win another state title in heaven gramps.

I’ve never met anyone I was so honored to know. His passive gentle ways of coaching and teaching should be a lesson to us all. No intimidation, belittling or humiliation. He let you know YOU WERE IMPORTANT. He was respected not be cause he demanded it or even earned it. I was there from the moment you met him. Thanks for being my coach, teacher, and friend. You are the “Rocket man”
