New Dudes Ride at Growlers

Paul Norris had one goal for the first-ever New Dudes ride at Growlers on Sunday - to draw at least one more person than Mel drew for the women’s ride. It was close, but he succeeded as eight riders showed up to tour the GG single-track.

After an unfortunate incident that saw one of the New Dudes suffer a physical breakdown about 150 yards into the first trail, things smoothed out and the NDs were able to make it to the top of the trail system and hit both of the new trail lines.

None of them suspected that Paul was using them to pack in the tread.

The tread was dry. As a result, the NDs were able to survive a trip down the Upper KMA with only minimal carnage. After the ride, Paul and Mel provided several growlers of Fort George beer as incentive for the NDs to return to ride another day.

Paul has tenatively scheduled the next ND event for Sunday, October 26th at 9:00 a.m. This is an excellent opportunity for all of us to encourage friends to come out and turn a crank. Pressure is low. Fun factor is high.
