Eric Loney finished the race season as the top-rated semi-pro in the Fluidride Cup Series DH and was fifth overall in the combined pro/semi-pro category. He was also the number one semi-pro at the 2008 Willamette Pass Series Downhill.

Loney, a member of the Growlers Gulch Cycling Team, was the Oregon state semi-pro DH champion and the top-ranked NORBA semi-pro in Washington. He is currently ranked #11 among all semi-pro DHers in the U.S.

“It was a great year,” Loney said. “Of course the real jewel was taking first place at the 2008 Growlers Gulch Time Trial.” He is already gearing up to defend his title next September.

Loney plans to move to the pro division in 2009. He thanked his wife, Sam, for her support and for the video compilation below. You can pass along your congrats to Eric at the TDG members meeting at Saviano’s on October 20th or email him at el854@hotmail.com.
