Mountain Beavers Rock Old Pueblo
February 16, 2010 on 1:48 pm | In Mountain Biking | 5 CommentsThe Mountain Beavers of Growlers Gulch Racing showed strong at the 24 Hours of Old Pueblo race on February 13 in Tucson, Arizona.
The group completed 255 miles over 15 laps to finish 15th in Five-Person Coed with a Combined Age of 150-199 (They would have been competing against a much younger crowd but Paul’s advanced age pushed them into an older category).
The Mountain Beavers consisted of Melanie Norris, Paul Norris, Dara Muldoon, Jeff Muldoon and Ryan McMaster. Each of the five team members rode 51 miles, completing three 17-mile laps and climbing 3,600 feet. See individual lap times.
The 24HOP is one of the largest races in the world, with 1,500 riders entered in the field. Several teams from various categories tied for most laps with 22.
The team was sponsored by Kuat Racks, Highlander Cycling, Fort George Brewery, Blacx Seatposts, TurboCat Lights, Kenda, By the Bottle, Skutt Kilns, Harlot Clothing, Hotel Fifty, and Growlers Gulch Racing.

Dang, that is impressive! We’ll have to expand this year’s GG5K or you won’t even think it’s a challenge. Great job.

Way to go! Your results really indicate just how strong the Growlers riders…men and women…are. Looks like it’s the rocking chair for yours truly at this year’s 5K.

That is awesome you all, nice job. It is amazing the national caliber of riders/racers in our small but powerful group of friends in this area, and the different disciplines we ride.
