Brigman First at Estacada, Second at Silverton

Lance Brigman of Growlers Gulch Racing ramped up his training for the GG5K by winning a 20-mile time trial in Estacada and finishing second in a 54-miler at Silverton.

Brigman won the 60+ category at Estacada with a time of 50:22. “We had a head wind on the way back,” he said, ”so I was a little slower than last time.”

The Silverton race included 5,000 feet of elevation gain. Brigman rode in the combined 70-man Masters 40+ division. He overcame a flat tire to finish second in the 60+ category, with a time of 2:33, an average of 16.4 miles per hour.
