60 @ Sixty Video

It’s sometimes difficult to explain why riding 60 miles of trail in a single day is a significant challenge. This video does a pretty good job of laying it out.

We rode through alpine meadows, east-side pine forest, and blast zone. We were in old growth on three of the trails, rode alongside two rivers and a lake, hammered through a lava field, and cruised on the side of an active volcano. Mount Rainier, Mount Adams, Mount Hood, and the entire Cascade Range were on display.

We got some fantastic footage. The vid includes 60 photos and 20 vid clips.

Complete ride details are available at http://writeteknorthwest.com/archives/5285/elderly-man-nails-60-sixty

Our fundraising total is at just over $9,000. I’m still holding out hope of reaching $10,000. If you know anyone who might be interested in donating, have them contact me at 360.430.4416 or leave a message at the bottom of this post.
