GGR Opens Sign-up for September Super D
August 4, 2010 on 11:20 am | In Mountain Biking | 28 CommentsSign-up is underway for the first-ever Growlers Gulch Super D on Saturday, September 18th.
The rocking 3.2 route will take riders from the top of Creation, down a section of Bad Gravity, all of Jekyll, the three Lower KMAs and the Secret Garden. Total descent will be about 1,200 feet.
Before you make the decision to bring your burly DH bike, you might want to check the ride route. Eric Loney rode it in approximately 15 minutes during a practice run several months ago. I promise that you will be tired when you get to the bottom.
We will have three divisions -
- Real racers
- Fast DHers who don’t race
- Mere mortals
We anticipate that there will be a great deal of interest in this event so if you want in, let me know now. As usual, first-come status is available to people who have worked on trail at Growlers during the past year.
