Bike Park Fundraising Effort Begins

Paul Norris has put together a fundraising plan for the bike park. We will offer graduated sponsorship opportunities as follows:

  • $75 – Small tile with name engraved
  • $150 – Large tile with name engraved
  • $500 – Sponsorship of a jump line or pump track, with accompanying signage
  • $1,000 – Sponsorship of an entire section, e.g. all jump lines or pump tracks, with accompanying signage

We are planning to construct a low wall that will include the tiles. If you check the link, you can see what they did at Duthie to recognize donors.

At this time, we need to raise funds to cover the cost of drainage materials so that we can get the project underway once our permitting is approved. Down the line, we will be purchasing signage, landscaping materials, and more.

If you can spring for a tile, now is the time. Also, if you know of any businesses or individuals that might be interested in making a contribution, please let us know.

We will eventually be able to have 501 approval through North County Recreation in Castle Rock. If it’s important for you to write-off your contribution, hold off until we get that squared away.

In the meantime, if you aren’t concerned about the write-off, please send your checks to me at:

  1. Mel and I are getting two large. One for Rudy and one for Gigi. Special thanks to Chris who suggested colored tiles. As soon as I get back to the states, we are going to meet and decide which colors would be best and the design of the substrate to display the tiles. We will keep you informed as the design evolves.

Big thanks in advance to all who give.
