JH Kelly has hired Jim LeMonds of WriteTek Northwest to write the company’s history. The book will trace the company’s remarkable transition from a small-town residential and retail plumbing outfit to one of the largest mechanical contractors in the U.S.
After meeting with JH Kelly’s President Mason Evans and Marketing Director Rob Harris in February, LeMonds recently began conducting the first of 25 to 35 interviews with current and former company employees.
No specific date has been set for the book’s publication, but Evans and Harris indicated that the project would likely require 12 to 18 months to complete.
Located in Longview, Washington, JH Kelly employs nearly 1,000 people and produces more than $100 million per year in revenue.
The company’s extensive project list includes refineries, pulp & paper mills, power plants, and condominiums, as well as education, solar, bio-diesel, bio-mass, semi-conductor, food processing, and manufacturing facilities.
