I think I re-read that last paragraph a dozen times… The reason your RAL classes challenged us, required us, to perform at such high levels is your amazing combination of deep thoughts and articulate words. Thanks for instilling a sense of obligation to aspire to both.

Unfortunately, I missed out on your Shakespeare class (as well as AP classes – both of which came around after us), but would have to agree that we often excelled in your classes because you challenged us to do so – and while they were some of the most difficult, they were also, because of that challenge, some of the most rewarding as well. Thank you for holding the bar high for us, Lemonds. We are all better for it.

I thoroughly enjoyed my Shakespeare class and other classes with Jim LeMonds. One of the main reasons is that I was challenged to push myself not only with the material we read but also by the high standards we were held to with each class. Thank you!

I learned more and was graded more thoroughly in my high school English classes than any of my college classes while getting my degrees (English and Music). I am very thankful for every Jim LeMonds class I had.
