Ten members of the Growlers Gulch Girls traveled to Bend in early June for a weekend of skills development and debauchery. Mel, Sam, April, Deanna, Chris and Dara enrolled in the Trek Dirt Series mountain biking camp while Juntu, Ksenia, Denise and Amy rode a variety of trails in the Bend area.
“It was a challenging weekend,” Dara said. “All the girls did a great job, rocking their new skills with very little carnage.”
“We are coming home with so many new skills,” Sam said. “It’s like we are a different level of riders now.”
The Dirt Series will return to the Northwest on July 30-31, with sessions available at Sandy Ridge.
